CAPITALISM IS OVER! IF YOU WANT IT: SUMMER OF TOUGH LOVE LAUNCH
Sunday, July 18th, 1 pm

Please join us for the launch of “Capitalism Is Over! If You Want It:
Summer of Tough Love”, a series of interruptions/actions by artists
from around the world in response to the need for a fundamental shift
in our approach to Capitalism and the negative impact it has on the
environment, health, and wellbeing of all. Four Bay Area writers Jenny
Bitner, Hugh Behm-Steinberg, Myron Michael, and Josh Wilson will
respond to these issues through their poetry and prose in the heart of
San Francisco’s shopping district, Union Square (by the tower).

Jenny Bitner is a writer, painter and mother who has been known to
dabble in capitalism, but in her heart is still holding out for
something better. Her website is jennyart.com.

Hugh Behm-Steinberg is the author of Shy Green Fields and Sorcery. He
teaches in the writing programs at CCA where edits the journal eleven
eleven.

Josh Wilson is a writer, editor, bicyclist and social entrepreneur
living in San Francisco. He is the founder of The Fabulist
(www.the-fabulist.org), a new home for fables, yarns and diverse
tales; an emeritus DJ and director at KUSF-FM; and a recipient of the
Society of Professional Journalists’ Excellence in Journalism Award.

Proprietor of Rondeau Records Myron Michael is a recording artist and
writing instructor. He is the founder of Move Or Die and lives in the
Bay Area where he curates HELIOTROPE a monthly reading series.
